CLASSIC YACHT photography

SEATTLE AREA PACKAGES
IMAGES
ONE HOUR - DOCKSIDE - $150
Lowest cost is a one hour shoot at dockside with basic lighting set-ups. While I can promise 6 well lit interior images, I would make sure I got two more exterior shots in the allotted time.
TWO HOURS - $300
Two hours is plenty of time to insure a good representation of almost any boat to 45'. I can promise 10 well lit interior images, but would hope to get as many as 12 including exterior views. If shots away from the dock are desired, more time will be required and a tender and driver will have to be provided.
HALF-DAY RATE - $500
A Half-Day allows me the opportunity to get several wide views of each interior compartment, plus close-ups of some of the more interesting and attractive features. The Half-Day Rate covers four hours of shooting and a savings of $100 off the hourly rate.
FULL-DAY RATE - $800
Rarely will I need a full day to document any size boat, however, some of the larger classic yachts will require this time to adequately show all features. A Full-Day shoot is also recommended, if shots away from port or while underway are required. Interior staging will be included to convey a lifestyle that will appeal to the prospective buyer.
WEBSITE - $300 and up
SIMPLE WEBSITE - $300
A simple, five page website like this one starts at $300. The only additional cost is hosting @ $15/mon.
ENHANCED WEBSITE - $600 and up
An enhanced website similar in size to "vintagematthews.com" (click on "enhanced website") can be developed and launched for around $600. I can scan a limited number of historical prints or documents and/or include your own digital images. Optimization for mobile devices is incuded. Hosting and maintenance costs are $15/mon. SEO will be optimized at time of launch.
VIDEO - $300 and up
BASIC VIDEO - $300
The basic video package includes a well-lit walk-through, plus exteriors shot at the dock. A simple narative can be added in post production. Suggested finished length is 1:30.
PRODUCTION QUALITY VIDEO - $1,000 and up
Some exceptional classic yachts may require a production quality video to attract the discerning buyer. A pre-production meeting with the owner or broker will help to establish a budget. Shooting options can include interiors, exteriors, shooting while underway and aerial stills and video. Additional cost factors may include the boat's location (see rates below) and special lighting or staging needs. In-house audio services include script writing, V/O (voiceover) production and music selection and authorization. The finished video will then be delivered on DVD and uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, YachtWorld and/or the boat's website, if desired.
COFFEE TABLE BOOK - $40 and up
YOU DESIGN IT - $40
I can show you how to create a coffee table book with a number of online publishing websites. Their prices may vary depending upon paper quality, cover stock and number of pages. (No cost from me and $40 from the publisher.)
I DESIGN IT - $100
If you prefer, I can design and publish it for you. ($60 cost from me and $40 from the publisher.)

NUMBER OF IMAGES
The number of images will depend upon the client's wishes, i.e., interior only, interior and exterior, etc.
TIME OF DAY
Most exterior shoots work best either in early morning or late afternoon light. Mid-day light can produce harsh shadows and a flat looking image. The image of GRETA (above) was taken just before sunset. For best results and if your schedule will allow, I would prefer to shoot at either of these times.
